Kate Morton grew up in the mountains of south-east Queensland, Australia. She has degrees in Dramatic Art and English Literature and is currently a doctoral candidate at the University of Queensland. Kate lives with her husband and young son in Brisbane. Her first novel, The House at Riverton, won the 2007 Richard & Judy Summer Read. Her second novel The Forgotten Garden was a Sunday Times number one bestseller.
